NHS and SC workforce planning is non existent. There is no succession plan to train JDs as future consultants.
The whole world is short of Doctors. Ideally, we would recruit, train and retain
UK Doctors, but we are heavily reliant on overseas Doctors.
We should fund training places for all specialities, including GPs-who are now
unemployed due to government NOT FUNDING HIRING BY GP PRACTICES
Government CAN fund 30,000 PAs, and 3,000 AAs, their “dilution, BMA/Doctor-beating down planning” with many ACPs being used as Noctors-unqualified Doctor substitutes with inadequate unsafe training
We should fund hiring already qualified GPs in General Practice
Provide and fund a prudent surplus of training places esp GPs,
